Every day is different at Highgrove House Care HomeÂ

Variety really is the spice of life at our care home, where we make sure that many different types of activities and entertainment are offered to suit all tastes. These include the following
such as painting, card making, and flower arranging
Highgrove House is perfectly situated for a stroll into town and we’re just 5 minutes walk to the sea.
Regular minibus trips are organised for our residents to various Garden Centres, Museums, Arts and Galleries.
We provide a wide variety of weekly music sessions including singalongs and presentations from local musicians, theatre groups and choirs.
Regular visits to the care home are organised with the local nursery children and we also have various pet therapy sessions.
We arrange armchair yoga, and other gentle exercises both indoors & outside in our gardens. A favourite being our regular indoor and outdoor skittles sessions, and we always encourage residents to take an active interest in major sporting events.
Weekly poetry reading sessions which are very relaxing are a regular feature and we also have a large selection of large print books for those who want to read for themselves. In addition, we have board games, puzzles and quizzes to keep the brain active too. We have a wide range of DVDs for our movie and popcorn afternoons and specific television viewing areas for those who want to watch their favourite show.
In addition to our regular weekly activity schedule our residents often enjoy other forms of celebratory parties and gatherings: such as our Summer parties, Birthday celebrations, Easter and Christmas festivities. Residents also enjoy skittles which can be either indoor or outdoor.
