Nirmal – provides an oversight for the operation of Highgrove House supported by Karen Lisher and her entire team. I am committed to maintaining the highest standards of care for all our residents at all times by our dedicated care team, who are devoted and passionate about care. I left Royal Brompton Hospital in 2019 as I was keen to focus my entire time operating our care homes and ensuring our care homes are progressive and forefront of any changes in the healthcare sector and also making sure I am available at all times for our residents’ families.
I am an experienced registered manager with extensive experience of running large residential and nursing homes for over 10 years in the West Sussex area. I am qualified as a nurse and have RN Level 1 qualification. I joined Highgrove House in early 2019 and have been in charge of running the home since 2019.
I have developed a passion for caring for elderly people and supporting their families including those living with dementia. I am dedicated to delivering a high standard of care for all residents and relatives. I value all team members and empower them to develop, gain skills and knowledge to help them deliver a high standard of care within the regulatory and organisational standards. I enjoy coming up with innovative ideas for fundraising and the introduction of Annual social events within the homes for residents and staff.
I decided to join Highgrove House in 2015 and have been the Care Manager for the last 5 years, prior to this I was a Deputy Manager at another nursing home for 10 years. I have held senior positions at various residential and nursing homes and have been working in the health sector my entire career. I completed my RN Level 2 qualifications over 25 years ago and was practising nursing until recently. I am passionate about the exceptional level of care provided by my Care team to our residents at all times. It is so crucial that our residents feel happy, content, enjoy an enriching and rewarding life at Highgrove House everyday.

I joined Highgrove House in April 2012, as a Carer. In the last 8 years, I have progressed my career at Highgrove House and completed my QCF Level 5 qualification. Prior to Highgrove House, I worked in the retail sector as an assistant manager. I decided to change direction and pursue a career in the healthcare sector as I enjoy working with people and am passionate about caring for the elderly in the residential care home setting.
Joined Highgrove House in September 2019. I have been working as a Chef all my career. Before joining Highgrove, I worked at Drummconner for 11 years and prior to that at Greystoke Manor for 7 years. Previously I worked in the hospitality sector. I am passionate about cooking. I enjoy creating healthy and nutritional dishes from scratch using local products and ingredients. I also specialise in baking cakes, pastries and birthday/celebration cakes for our residents.
I initially joined Highgrove House in 2014 as a kitchen assistant. I turned my hobby in cooking into a professional career and decided to become a chef. I enjoy interacting with residents and learning about their personal preferences and dietary requirements.
I joined the Highgrove House team in 2018 initially on a part- time basis to do general maintenance, however I now spent my whole week ensuring smooth running of Highgrove House and the sister home – Byway House. I am involved in almost everything from ensuring the health and safety of the residents and staff to getting involved with resident activities.
I am so thrilled to be a part of Highgrove House, we have amazing residents, staff and families, everyone is so caring and supportive of each other. Prior to Highgrove House, I have worked in many different roles for the last 30 years including my own business.
