Some highlights of recent testimonials from resident families and friends:

“Thanks so much for everything you are doing for my mum & the other residents. To see her smiling face, in the photo, is absolutely priceless. It means so much to us all. To know she is safe, being cared for and happy is so reassuring for me, especially as I cannot visit.”

M and P Agnew, daughter and son of a Resident.

“There are no words really to say how absolutely brilliant you have all been in caring for mum. Right from the very first day, she really loved being at Highgrove and with love, dedication and kindness you have all shown her over the past days. We are in awe. Thank you does not really say it – your professionalism, care, love for our mum in her darkest hour Was just wonderful.”

Hind family of a former Resident.

“Many thanks for all the love, friendship, attention and care that was lavished on mum over the last five and half years. We know she wouldn’t have lived this long without it”.

H and G Collins, family of a past Resident.

“Please pass on my thanks to all your team’s dedication and hard work during this challenging time; all the care you are showing my mum and other people’s loved ones is hugely appreciated.”

J Gilbert, son of a Resident.

“Thank you for all the great photos. It looks like mum is having a brilliant time. Thank you for all you are doing for her.”

R Gilbert, son of a Resident.

“Thank you all at Highgrove House so much for the wonderful care you took of our Dad. He was basically physically done for when he went into your care back in May 2019 and you were able to give him a good quality of life, way beyond anything he could have had at home. We are so grateful for the kindness and patience you and the staff have shown. We are also grateful to the other residents who helped to make him feel at home.”

D Graham, son of a past Resident

“I just wanted to say a huge thank you all for the wonderful job you are doing in the current circumstances. Mum couldn’t be in better hands.”

James, son of a Resident.

“Karen – That is brilliant, it is testament to the effort that you and all the staff there at Highgrove, have put in over the last few months, we know it cannot have been easy. Not only in trying to keep Covid-19 at bay, but in also keeping the residents occupied and safe.”

T Moon, son-in-law of a Resident.

“All, thank you so much. I just wanted to say how much it means to me to see pictures of my mum looking so happy and well cared for. It is very comforting, being so far away, to know that she is in such good hands.”

Jeanie, daughter of a Resident

“Hope you are keeping well and happy. We had a lovely letter from M the other day which included the beautiful photos of you doing the marathon in the garden!! Well done everyone. In the presence of the Queen too!! Medals and ice cream treat too. You look young in the photographs but the lady pushing you is working very hard. How kind of them all to go to so much trouble. The weather was kind too.”

R Rixon, brother of a Resident

“Thank you all for a brilliant job you are all doing looking after the welfare of our mum and indeed everyone else at Highgrove House, Your cheerful and positive attitude and making everyone’s life as normal as possible in these unbelievable difficult times is amazing. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. It’s fantastic seeing the photos and videos of M and her friends in the garden was just perfect. It’s been very hard not coming with my dog to see her – but knowing that she is well looked after and cared for is just wonderful. Thank you for all that you and your staff are doing to ensure life goes on as normal”

Angela, daughter of a Resident.

“Many thanks again for your care of A and special thanks for carrying on during this difficult time.”

M Matthew, niece of a Resident.

This care home had been recommended by a friend whose father had been at Highgrove House for several years. My mother who is 85 has experienced several falls and is suffering with short term memory loss and whose mobility is becoming a great problem. I realised with a degree of reluctance that my mother now required specialist care and attention at all times and so she has been in Highgrove House for nearly one month. My mind is eased knowing she is being so well cared for.

Brightness and comfort of premises. Very helpful and cheerful staff. Always greeted pleasantly and cheerfully when visiting and tea or coffee offered. The owners are friendly and helpful. The manager was very friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions. Good relationship between residents and staff. I would certainly recommend the home to others.

Highgrove House is a lovely home. The residents are treated as individuals and with great dignity. Staff and service are exemplary.

Highgrove House is a truly 5 star nursing home. The building is beautiful, the rooms are lovely, the staff are amazing and the food is delicious. I have attended many friends and family functions and am always impressed at the lovely family feel of the place too. Every time I have visited during the day there has been some sort of activity going on and residents can also visit Highgrove’s beach hut on Goring seafront which is just lovely for families to take their loved one out to. I know people who have used both the day care and residential services and both are excellent.

Since my father was resident nearly ten years ago, I have recommended several elderly friends to Highgrove. It has a lovely caring atmosphere.
